Following on from Mental Health Awareness Week, the DYP executive thought it was timely to run an event which focuses on you and your workplace mental and physical well being.
With the average person spending around 90,000 hours at work during their lifetime, human capital is crucial to New Zealand’s success, and a content, healthy, engaged workforce should be a key goal for all businesses and employees.
Join the Dunedin Young Professionals for one of our Workplace Wellness Business Breakfast events at the popular Nova Café situated in the Octagon.
Commencing from 7:00am there will be an opportunity to network with fellow DYP’ers before we hear from guest speakers with tips on how to make sure you and your team are keeping happy and healthy at work!
We are delighted to introduce our speakers for the morning:
Josephine Greer (Nutrition and Life) - NZ registered non-diet dietitian and food aficionado! "I know health is a mind game. I have a psychology degree which makes me focus on health and happiness first" Jo will be covering tips and tricks to make sure you are taking care of yourself in the workplace.
Sophie Carty (WellSouth) - currently working as a health promotion specialist. She is involved in the coordination of health promotion programmes, as well as public health advocacy, research, policy development, and participation in local networks and advisory groups. Sophie will be covering the resources and tool kits available to you and your team with regards to mental health.
Theo Wallis (The Muscle Mechanics) - Theo has continued to self-study and be mentored in sports/ remedial massage therapy, anatomy and bio-mechanics. Theo's clients range from international-level athletes (All-Blacks, Highlanders, Silver-Ferns) to recreational athletes; to busy professionals, office workers and people recovering from injuries/ surgeries.
